In 2025, Kandy, Sri Lanka hosted the third Nyaleni Global Forum. Small scale food producers, indigenous peoples, feminist, health workers, climate justice activists, social and solidarity economic defenders, and other grassroots activists will come from more than 80 countries to radically change the system. In the face of a violent global system, we are rising up resisting and building power from the bottom up. This forum is a spark in our collective struggle.

In this episode, we talk with Marcos Filardi, a lawyer and advocate for the right to health and food sovereignty, about how health is directly connected to what we eat, who controls the land, and why the fight for gender justice is key to securing free territories and bodies.

An interview with Anuka De Silva, addressing the situation of farmers in Sri Lanka and what are the expectations on the 3rd Nyéléni Global Forum. Anuka De Silva is member of the Movement for Land and Agrarian Reform in Sri Lanka (MONLAR) and the International Coordinating Committee (ICC) of La Vía Campesina. Anuka is the co-organizer of the 3rd Nyeleni Global Forum held in Sri Lanka in 2025.
