Welcome to the GHW Podcast, an audio show dedicated to PHM’s flagship publication “Global Health Watch 6: In the shadow of the pandemic” (GHW6). As a way to spread the analysis and the experiences of struggle reported in the book. The GHW podcast is available for free on iVoox and in all four PHM languages (English, Spanish, French, Arabic).

Charter4Health is the new podcast series from PHM Global on the right to health, it is a platform to discuss, share the analysis and the experiences of the struggle for Health For All.

As People's Health Movement (PHM) Its Global Secretariat and the Communications Program, we are very happy to present Charter4Health a new podcast series on the right to health.

More than a format, they are a genre, even more, they are a universe. Comics constitute a narrative that entertains, builds emotional experiences and imaginaries of both fiction and non-fiction, with such a variety of forms and contents that they also inform, educate and communicate, reaching a wide spectrum of audiences.  

The Covid-19 pandemic and the people’s struggle for health, life and dignity 

During the Covid-19 pandemic, deep and extensive social impacts were felt throughout the globe, way beyond the public health crisis. The responses of governments and the international community made evident the structural inequality and injustices of the current economic and political order, with dramatic effects in the Global South. 

As the days go by, the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip deepens, the armed conflict has intensified, civilians and medical personnel remain under threat, fatalities and injuries grow by the minute, caravans of forcibly displaced people seeking safety have also come under attack, water, food, shelter and medical supplies are in short supply.
