Escalation of the conflict in southern Lebanon

Day after day, hour after hour, Lebanon and its people are enduring the horror of inhumane and indiscriminate Israeli attacks. The number of deaths, injuries, and displaced persons continues to rise. Humanitarian workers and facilities are being targeted.

Amel has been particularly affected by these violations of international humanitarian law during the night of October 6-7, 2024. The association’s education and protection center in Nabatieh was severely damaged due to bombings that ravaged the area. We call on all our partners to firmly condemn this attack and to join our call for an immediate ceasefire.

Despite this context, marked by fear and destruction, Amel’s teams continue their mission by deploying mobile interventions in protection, health, and basic assistance, "going towards" all those who have lost everything, who need medical consultations, psychological first aid, hygiene items, humanity, and relief.
