Solidarity in Action: €263,000 Raised to Defend Health in Palestine

The PHM campaign to support the Palestinian healthcare system has successfully concluded, raising an impressive €263,000 thanks to the solidarity of individuals, grassroots groups, and partner organizations worldwide! In the face of genocide, ethnic cleansing, destruction, blockade, and systematic attacks on healthcare, this collective effort stands as a clear political statement: a refusal to accept that access to health can be denied, and a shared determination to defend the right to health for the Palestinian people! We extend our gratitude to everyone who contributed, mobilized, and spoke out. This achievement is not only financial—it is an act of solidarity, and international resistance.

How the funds will be used

The funds will directly support three key health actors working in both the West Bank and Gaza:

1. AWDA Health and Community Association (Gaza)

Part of the funding will go toward infrastructure works for two health centers in Al-Bureij (Middle Governorate) and Al-Fallujah (Jabalia). These upgrades will help ensure continuity of essential healthcare services for communities facing severe disruptions.

2. Health Work Committees (West Bank)

The funds will strengthen the Tubas Primary Health Care and Emergency Centre in the northern West Bank. It will be used for vital medical equipment, including an ECG machine, patient monitor, defibrillator, emergency trolleys, examination beds, splints, centrifuge, and a chemistry analyzer. It will also cover medications and supplies, such as essential medicines, medical disposables, and laboratory materials. This investment will significantly expand the centre’s emergency, diagnostic, and primary healthcare capacity.

3. Palestinian Medical Relief Society (Gaza)

PMRS will deliver urgently needed support by providing essential medical consumables for primary and emergency care, upgrading the diagnostic and emergency equipment of mobile medical teams, and supplying laboratory reagents to help restore basic diagnostic services. In addition, around 100 first aid kits will be distributed to vulnerable households and shelters, alongside 200 hygiene kits to reduce the risk of communicable diseases in overcrowded conditions. Together, these interventions will ensure three months of integrated emergency health services in Gaza.

PHM will continue to stand in solidarity with the people of Palestine, amplifying the struggle for health, dignity, and justice until they are fully realized.
