PHM at the ALAMES 18th Latin American Congress of Social Medicine and Collective Health
PHM health activists and members of the Latin American Association of Social Medicine (ALAMES) were part of the delegation that participated in the 18th Latin American Congress of Social Medicine and Collective Health of ALAMES held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where the People's Health Movement launched the seventh edition of its flagship book, the Global Health Watch, a publication that is available for the first time in Spanish and that can be downloaded by chapters from the PHM website.
At the final assembly of the Congress, ALAMES ratified the association's political mandates in the struggle for health and universal public health systems, confronting the political and social realities of the region. Mexico will host the 19th ALAMES Congress in 2027.
