Nepal: Movement for Progressive Transformation stands with the Palestinian people
The Nepali people are extremely outraged and saddened by the events in which the Israeli government, in retaliation for the attack by Hamas last year in response to Israel's atrocities, has taken the lives of thousands of innocent Palestinian and Lebanese civilians and deliberately displaced millions from their homeland. According to official statistics from the elected government of Gaza, since October 7 of last year, more than 42,000 innocent Palestinian civilians, including 69% women and children, have been killed solely due to Israeli attacks. From the Gaza region alone, 1.9 million Palestinians, which is 85% of the area's population, have been forced to leave their homes and places of residence. The number of children and women killed in Gaza over the past year as a result of Israeli attacks is equal to the total number of children and women killed in wars worldwide over the past twenty years. This event can be described as the largest genocide and ethnic cleansing of the 21st century. We strongly condemn and denounce this state-planned violence.
