Background
The intensity of the shelling in northern Gaza in October, 2024, resulted in numerous deaths and destruction as reported by various international media with information from the Gaza Ministry of Health.
According to reports, at least 42,000 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 100,000 people have suffered war injuries since the start of the ongoing offensive in Gaza last year.

The world is on fire as we see wars and conflicts are escalating in several countries and regions in the world. The ongoing genocide in Palestine, the wars in Lebanon and Yemen, the catastrophic situation in Sudan and the Democratic Republic Congo, have an enormous impact on the right to health of the people. War, conflict, occupation and forced migration are key social determinants of health exacerbating existing inequalities, therefore the People's Health Movement (PHM) decided to act.
