Aziz Rhali, health activist, illegally detained
On October 1st, 2025, following the unlawful interception by Israeli military forces of the “Deir Yassin” vessel, Aziz Rhalli was abducted together with other 23 crew members on board the ship, one of the Global Sumud Flotilla bound for Gaza carrying humanitarian aid.
Aziz Rhalli is a Moroccan health‑rights advocate, a member of the People’s Health Movement, and former president of the Moroccan Association for Human Rights (AMDH). He has held leadership positions in numerous human‑rights and development bodies, including the Coalition for Health in Morocco, the World Social Forum on Health and Social Protection, and the Arab Network of NGOs for Development (ANND). His activism includes participation in the Global Sumud Flotilla to Gaza.
Since his abduction, Aziz Rhalli has begun a hunger strike demanding the immediate release of all flotilla activists who are being held illegally. We demand to know Aziz Rhali’s whereabouts, his health status, and his unconditional, immediate release. We urge the United Nations and all states to secure the release of Aziz Rhalli and the other abducted comrades and to guarantee their safety. We also call on social‑health activists, organisations, and solidarity movements worldwide to act.
Free Aziz Rhalli. Free Palestine!
