In 2025, Kandy, Sri Lanka hosted the third Nyaleni Global Forum. Small scale food producers, indigenous peoples, feminist, health workers, climate justice activists, social and solidarity economic defenders, and other grassroots activists will come from more than 80 countries to radically change the system. In the face of a violent global system, we are rising up resisting and building power from the bottom up. This forum is a spark in our collective struggle.
This third edition of the forum gathers more 700 participants from around the world Held in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Rooted in food sovereignty, the defense of the commons, the right to health, climate justice, feminism, social and solidarity economies, agroecology, and Indigenous knowledge, Nyéléni aims to spark a global paradigm shift in response to today’s economic, political, social, and environmental crises.
