Due to the allocation of PHM funds for organizing the People's Health Assembly (PHA5) to be held in Argentina in April 2024, we regretfully announce that there will be no EB Watch in January.

PHM and its Global Health Governance group will continue to follow the discussions within WHO and its governance bodies and will be contributing a series of articles on the Executive Board (EB) to the People´s Health Dispatch (PHD).

We encourage people around the world, heath activists, organizations and affiliated networks to visit the PHM WHO Tracker page, to Follow the WHO Executive Board (EB154) in wich many PHM comrades, including Watchers, contribute.

Follow the WHO Executive Board (EB154)

EB Watch is the annual event of PHM's Global Health Governance whereby we keep a "watch" on the Executive Board meeting of the World Health Organisation and intervene, mostly critically, during the discussions. A few members of the PHM GHG lead a group of 10-14 young activists (Watchers) from across the world into fulfilling various tasks. Normally we conduct the following activities as part of the Watch:

• Capacity building of young activists regarding PHM positions on issues on the EB agenda. This is done through a week-long workshop in which resource persons from PHM and allied organizations are invited to speak and engage with the young activists.
• Taking notes during the Executive Board meeting
• Reading statements on various agenda items on the floor of the meeting
• Making daily summaries based on the notes and circulating them to CSOs and government officials. These summaries have come to be recognised as important tools to engage in GHG by various stakeholders.
• Social Media posts, posters and videos for PHM website, Twitter and Facebook
• Articles for the People's Health Dispatch
• Organizing daily briefings for CSOs and sharing information, along with G2H2 and MMI. As the Watchers follow all the proceedings throughout the duration of the meeting, they are a useful source of information for the whole civil society.
