A PHM meeting for the Middle East and North Africa region happened in Tunis this weekend. Delegates from Egypt, Palestine, Morocco, Lebanon and Jordan were hosted by PHM Tunisia back to back with a conference on the right to health that saw civil society and WHO representative discuss around what has been achieved and what needs to be done to improve health for the people. The co-chairs of the PHM global steering council David Sanders and Chiara Bodini joined the meeting to help strengthen the connection between the regional and the global level. Participants shared commitment and plans to grow PHM in the region and improve communication on all that goes on at the country level. People's activism is much needed if we want the health discourse to remain political and attached to human rights, and for a positive change towards social justice.
