Structure

The People's Health Movement is coordinated by a global secretariat and is supported by a steering group consisting of the representatives of:

  • 8 organisations and networks that cosponsored the first Assembly: 
  • 13 regional focal points in South Asia; South East Asia; India; China; Middle East and North Africa; East and Central Africa; West Africa; Southern Africa; South America; Central America, Mexico and Caribbean; North America; Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific; Europe

  • Past and present coordinators

The movement is organised through Geographical circles at country and regional level and Issue based dialogue circles that are linked though local, national and international level campaigns. The Global Secretariat is presently hosted by the India Region.

 

The Steering Committee

The Steering Committee includes representatives from the 8 founding networks / organizations involved in organizing the first People's Health Assembly and establishing the People's Health Movement as well as  8 regional facilitators. In 5 more regions the process of electing the facilitators is ongoing.
